Mario I don't think anyone is doubting EVOLUTION but wondering what is the REASON for species evolving differently....What was the stimuli involved to cause it etc.
So everyone doing research on EVOLUTION are wasting their time? Be sure to tell them...
*Edit-Everyone here are merely trying to determine what stimuli could have been involved and researching an interesting topic. And no harm if it is speculating-no one is claiming a thesis.

That's like saying "To investigate who murdered Col. Mustard we need to know exactly who murdered him"
Yes and no. The environmental episodes that could trigger radial evolution are well documented both on a global and regional level, but you wouldn't have to go through all of them by elimination to reach a theory. Plus if the interest and funds existed there could have been a spider genome project to work up the tree from leaf level. (Where's my goddamn UK Lotto winnings?)
As for speculation, yes. Group of enthusiasts speculating the arse off of an interesting topic, learning something and perhaps gaining new appreciation for the animals we keep. Anything wrong with that?
