A couple of things you could of asked the guy for, pictures of the female and the male, pictures of the breeding he did, pictures of the female with the egg case.
If he is a proper breeder he would of taken pictures or pictures would of been taken of the spiders.

Could of asked the guy who does he know in the hobby and if he is on the forum, sooner or later every one knows every on in the hobby.

Where was he selling them from? how did you hear about the Spiders being sold?
Have you paid the guy the money yet?
What is the guys name?
And where does the Gentleman live??

Hey guys, I'm sorry for using common names, but it's just for explanation purposes...

I know the Brazilian Blacks - G.pulchra was going for R600 a few weeks ago. The reason why I say this, I have seen many problems with this in the past when it comes to slings...

I really hope, this guy (Seller) didn't get confused or maybe even played dumb, saying its a Thai Black - H.minax and not a Brazilian black - G.pulchra. At certain sling size it would not be so obvious to beginners to differentiate between the two.

I'm just bringing this up, as I have seen this and have almost been a victim of this. People selling OBT slings as C.huaini, L.parahybana as L.klugi, B.albopilosum as B.vagans and the list goes on.

So please guys, for future reference to beginners and everyone else...Cascade made a good point :

I hear what you are saying bonzai, but confusing G. Pulchra with H. minax might not be such a bad thing for the buyer. Pulchras are very much in demand and are fetching a high price. I think over R800 a sling on this site not too long ago, and R850 from Jozua.

I jumped at the one Oceanblue had for sale at R1000, and I lost out. That was a 6cm juvie though.

During December there were 2 ads with G.pulchras going for R600-R660 if you buy more than 5 at a time. If I wasn't broke from Christmas shopping I would have owned 2 atleast, after buying with 2 other friends.

In my opinion, and just my opinion, I think that H.minax are at this stage rarer than the G.pulchras, which in my opinion makes them worth more (Maybe not more in Rand value)...Who wouldn't love to have a Thai Black in their collection....a fiesty black aggro psycho T. I would love one, just to say I have one. It's the peace of mind coming into play. I would also love a G.pulchra, dont get me wrong.

I believe this revolves around personal preference, but that's not the point of this topic. The point were making is, we should watch out for scammers, false information and our own lack of knowledge.

Snarf was selling them for R600.00

I could have sworn they were auctioned off for over R800. Maybe I'm wrong though.
