Hi I am an avid collector of tarantulas and have a collection of around 84 specimens which are spread over 16 species. I was first bitten by the "bug" while walking around an exotic pet store in Durban. I came across a tarantula and knew then that this was a hobby for me. Since then I have built my collection and read everything available about these incredible miracles of nature.
I also breed boas and love animals in every shape and form.
I am a magistrate by profession so the legal side of the hobby also interests me and I try keep up with the relevant legislation which sadly differs from province to province and worse from area to area within a province!
