Sometimes you can't help it they just come ..I even wonder where do these mites come from :huh:

Try keep your cages as dry as possible, all my tanks are dry except for the ones that my gravid females are in. Also try get your hands on some isopods. They seem to really help because they eat the left over food you don't see and I think they also eat the mites eggs or the mites, because once I introduced them the number of mites declines quite rapidly.

@T-rad , u say u keep all your enclosures dry ,but what about the humidity lovers ?like are they comfortable being kept dry ?

And where do you get isopods from ?

Even the versis the tank stays dry most of the time, I spray the tank once a week it stays slightly moist for a few days but not long enough to encourage fungal or mite growth O and i only spray slings once a week, everything else above about 8 cm is mostly kept dry with just a water bowl, except avics that get sprayed once a week.

The isopods I collect from my garden under rocks As long as the enclosure is moist they live pretty long lives and even breed.
