I have to agree and disagree... agree that the newbie to Arachnid God means nothing... but it could mean that the more you post the more you learn and the more you learn the more you want to ask questions... and therefore the better you get? People who generally never ask or interact in what ever it is in life generally do worse than people who get stuck into it and ask questions...

I think it's because you posted so many info & pix of your M. Balfouri's that your breeding is so successful.
I really hope this post helps with my P. irminia breeding. I'll just post a lot of K@K about A. Versi's and sure I'll have a successful breeding and a lot of slings. And this is not BS, as I actually have breeding pairs.

I've been in the hobby for nearly 5 years and breeding Ts has always been on my mind. But I don't want to breed any of the common species since I don't want to sit with a 100 slings and no buyers. I won't be able to kill them, I'd rather go broke to keep 100 curlies alive then kill them.

Having that in mind, I recently got the opportunity to breed Versicolors. I'm still contemplating it. Do you guys think it is a good T to start on? Enough challenges, yet easy enough for a newbie breeder to possibly succeed? I'm sure the slings will sell, so that's a non issue for me. I'd cry if my male ends up as lunch tho

I would say go for it, you got the pair for breeding, just research it and get all your ducks in a row and then go for it!

There is no better way to gain experience than giving it a try and see where come out.

There are very few thing as demotivating as a female that has been gravid for months, only to start webbing profusely and flip on her back to molt. You wanna breed spiders, figure out Step 2 and be prepared to be VERY patient.
