P.imperator young are best kept on moist peat. Use a thick layer, atleast 8cm deep and use your hand to compact, or press down on the substrate. Provide driftwood or flat rocks for the scorpion to burrow under.

Keep the humidity high, at about 90 - 100% especially for the young, and make sure that they always have fresh drinking water available (especially for larger ones and adults). Use a very shallow water dish to avoid young drowning, and as a extra precaution, place small pebbles in the dish. Mist the enclosure once or twice per week. They do best at a temperature of about 29 degrees Celsius. Anything else?
