Hi Martin,

P. miranda are not sexually dimorphic before adult.

Some people will try to tell you about the diferent colour in the central band in the pholium being a way to sex Poecilotheria, but they cannot tell me why a pholium sexed s/a male produced an eggsac????

Your best bet is to have it skin sexed.

As for as I know, this method can be used for fasciata, regalis, striata, ornata and maybe others... but nor for metallica, miranda, pederseni, formosa, rufilata. (think all the more expensive ones are more difficult to sex)
What ive seen with my pokies, from about 7cm you will already be able to see that the females dark pattern within the white fades away, whereas males' will just stay dark

Would you say the male is mature?
Because I can almost swear that he made a sperm web

I can't really see by the photo. If it is Mature, it will have swollen pedi pulpers (Boxing gloves).
