I had one for some months a while ago, but read somewhere they only live for 18 months. Thought it unfair to keep it longer and released it into a tree in the back yard. It had grown so much it ran OVER the leaves! They are nice to watch and will run over the glass from top to bottom to upside down after prey. They also grow fast, mostly in weight more than overall size. I think this one won't grow much more.

They are not protected and very common in North West as well as Durban. You would find them inside your house every time big rains are about to fall.
