All right, I'll ask the questions everybody else is failing to ask:

1) How did you come to have access to an SEM?

2) How did you come to have the skills to produce such a photo?

3) Lastly, you avoid telling us at what magnification you took that photo. So?

4) Do you have any other SEM shots of tarantula parts? If so, don't hold back. Let's see them!

Sexing exuviums would definitely be easier :)

But I think the cost is a bit high for the average T keeper... This isn't a photo I took, I received it on an email along with a lot of other electron microscope pictures that are part of a book promotion.

Stan, they're not his...

Masta Splinta, which book is this?

Credit where credit is due:

All these pictures are from the book 'Microcosmos', created by Brandon Brill from London.

This book includes many scanning electron microscope (SEM) images of insects, human body parts and household items.

PM me if you want me to send you the email. Otherwise I can try and upload them all to imageshack and post them in the off topic section.

I would not post copies of Brandon Brills book anywhere without written consent if I was in your shoes.

Agreed Scarab, I should have - I have fixed that now.

This is a promotion email I received for his book so I assumed since it was sent to me that I could post it. I am not in any way benefitting from the post of the picture, it was only something interesting I though I would share.

If we had to obtain permission from everyone we "borrow" pictures from on the web there'd be minimal amounts of pictures on the forum.
