The international copyright laws are written to allow quoting "brief passages" of a work for the sake of reviews and reference material as long as proper credit is given. However, "brief passages" is not clearly defined. One photo could quite reasonably be interpeted as a "brief passage."

And, you did give them enough credit that I could easily find them on the Internet and Amazon.com , so I'm pretty sure you're okay in that department.

In addition, either or both of the publisher and the author would be out of their minds if they pursued you for copyright infringement BECAUSE YOU WERE ADVERTISING THEIR BOOK! And even more stupid, considering the cost of lawyers in this day and age.
