I have convinced my girlfriend to let me have another T. My current T's are 2 Brachypelma smithi's and an Avicularia avicularia.
I have short listed a couple and was hoping you could tell me which you would recommend and why.

Brachypelma klaasi - Mexican pink beauty
Tapinauchenius cupreus - Violet tree spider
Tapinauchenius gigas - Orange tree spider
Haplopelma lividum - Cobalt blue
Psalmopoeus irminia - Venezuelan suntiger

Wish I could take all but must decide on only 1.

It seems you are just collecting, you don't want to breed right?

In that case, I would take the klaasi. It's such a beauty and quite rare too.
The lividum you will never see. (get a tank, add peat, dig a small hole and pretend there is a cobalt inside. That's all u gotta do)

The gigas and cupreus are truly beautiful spiders but maybe for the more experienced keeper.
As for the irminia, very fast growing, stunning and I would consider to be an "intermediate" T.
So my 2cents= B. klaasi or P. irminia.

Well i agree with Panama...

Received my P. irminia last night and for 2cm sling he is super fast even jumped of my hand.... that was crazy.
As for the B. klaasi mine is still small and doesn't really do anything but i am sure it will soon change!

Tapinauchenius cupreus - Violet tree spider is a beautiful spider but also seeing it as a "intermediate" T.

P irminia if you want a awesome fast T.
Also consider the B emilia. One of my favourite Brachypelmas. Usually very docile and relaxed and absolutely stunning in my opinion.

B.Klaasi are super slow growers! Id get T.Cupreus,
T.Gigas or the P.Irminia as they grow dam quickly, very beautiful but can get a little speedy and agro :laugh: So ultimatly the choice is yours

Tapinauchenius cupreus - Violet tree spider - Stunning. Very fast, a bit more experience required (No handling etc.)
Tapinauchenius gigas - Orange tree spider - One of the best looking Ts in my opinion. Fast, experienced keepers.
Haplopelma lividum - Cobalt blue - Somewhat of a pet hole, not for beginners either, but they usually run for cover when disturbed. Experienced keepers.
Psalmopoeus irminia - Venezuelan suntiger - Can be defensive. Threat poses. Grows fast (as others have said) but are stunning. Can move quite fast. One of the favourites in my collection. Females are jet black with orange marks, males tend to be grey (not nice looking) so get a few to ensure you have a female if you want it for display (not just breeding).
