So these would be my choices, as they are not often available, they are stunning spiders, and make a talking point.

I have had and kept Tapinauchenius cupreus and never had any problems with them.

So with anything you need to learn how to keep them, and if you got an Avic and it has not died, Then you sure as hell can keep and look after the Tapinauchenius species, husbandry wish.
But at the end of the day it comes down to you and what your are comfortable keeping and dealing with, It is you who will be feeding and cleaning the spider tank out and re housing the spiders!
And as I said, you need to get some experiences some where, it not like keeping corn snakes and then jumping over to a king cobra, All the spiders have venom, all the spiders are fast, some are agro where others are calm and relaxed!


It all depends on what you are after, the fact that you have the list of spider means it is what you really want! and as you can only get one it makes that much harder to choose which one you want!

The Psalmopoeus irminia are stunning, but they can be just as fast as the Taps and they can also be defensive!

Then Haplopelma lividum Are awesome spider, they get awesome colors, but as stated above they are more pet holes than anything, but the times you do get to see it makes it worth it.

Here are 3 pictures of my female. also, as much as this spider is a pet hole, it also does not back down when it has to!








So at the end of the day, you can learn how to take care of the Grade 0 spider to the more advanced T blondi, as long as you read up on the spider and get as much information as you can.

Also ask SynergyZA for some advise, as he is collecting the Taps!

I might recommend the Irminia, but if you are open to other suggestions...

You might consider the G. Pulchripes. They are very docile, good looking and grows nice and big, hardy. I would recommend them any day to a beginner and even experienced T keeper.

I cant thank you enough for all the feedback, its more than I expected.

Ive wanted a P irminia for some time now and think I will take that. Cant get more than 1 to ensure its a female so will have to take the chance. I love the Brachypelmas but they grow so slowly. The Taps will have to wait till Ive gained a little more experience.
