similar thing happened to me but I thought the sling had escaped through the holes in the tub hahaha put the substrate in larger tub to double check and there the little guy was but ya after reading about peoples slings getting killed by roaches and mainly crickets, I am quite cautious while feeding the smaller Ts but thanks for that just reminds us how we must not be careless with our awesome little creatures...

LOL! My boet and I are tight, and I would have replaced it with a bigger sling.

Good learning curve I take it? Has never happened to me as I will always see if the T takes the cricket or nor, else as mentioned - injure the cricket as to make it easier prey. Or if dealing with a sling like above, medium to large cricket hind legs do the job perfectly

Definitely a learning curve. I'm now at the point where I know enough to make me dangerous. LOL! On a serious note though, I'm actually quite the mother hen with my T's. I started feeding the slings bigger crickets out of desperation, as I couldn't get pinheads. With the smallest slings I use the drumtick method, or cut the cricket into smaller pieces. The N. Chromatus are about 1cm and feisty, that's why I didn't bother maiming the crickets. I will now.

i catch mosquito's for my small slings. :pinch:

i leave my lights on and my doors open, i will run around and chase them for while until i have a few and feed my slings :blink:
