Which T's have you handled? was created by Visser
I realise that for some people, the list might be very long, but I think it would be interesting to comare the T's handled to those that are generally considered look-but-don't-touch species.

Here is mine:

A. geniculata

This was a subadult, about 14cm. Quite skittish. Didn't flick hair, but was very jumpy.

B. albopilosum

Adult male, around 17cm. Very docile, although it moved around quite a bit.

C. Cyaneopubescens

I've handled this T quite a few times, and have let some of my friends hold him as well. 10cm subadult. Once on your hand, it is very calm. There have been a few times though, where he did not appreciate the intrusion. I just left him alone then.

L. klugi

18cm female. This was a few months ago, and the T is now sitting at around 20cm. I was little nervous with this one, and asked the owner to remove it after only about 10sec on my hand. You can't get near it anymore. It's extremely cranky these days. Definitely not a species I'd like to handle again.

P. sp 'platyomma'

3cm sling. At the time it was premolt. I didn't know though, as I only received the T that day and decided to rehouse it. It molted later that day. It was very docile though.

B. boehmei

5cm juvie that I strongly suspect is female. It barely moves when I try and herd it with the paintbrush. It just sort of crouches down. It did flick hairs, but only once. It took about 5 min to get it into my hand. I would have left it alone if I didn't need to rehouse it. Docile.

G. pulchripes

12cm female. Extremely docile and inquisitive. Probably the only species I've handled that almost seems to enjoy it. At the very least it really doesn't seem to mind. If I were to give a rating on a scale of 1 to 10, this would rank a 10/10.

B. vagans

7cm juvie. Quite docile, but like the Fireleg, it barely moves when you try and herd it. No flicking though.

I think that's it for now.

I handle my MM B. albopilosum quite alot, as he's quite chilled.
Have you noticed that when handling B. vagans, it feels like little needles pricking your skin? I haven't felt that in other T's yet.

No, I can't say that I have Jaz. At least, not more than any other T. In fact, the worst for this, in my experience would be the G. pulchripes. Maybe because they are such kak climbers, they hold on for dear life. LOL!!

I tried coaxing my L. parahybana onto my hand last week, but she immediately assumed a threat pose and I left her well alone. Those fangs are huuuge! The juvie was fine, he walked around my arm and onto my back, came round my shoulder and back into the tank.

Other than that I've handled my N. chromatus a few times, but she just curls up and refuses to move. I don't handle her anymore, for fear of stressing her out.

How big is the N. chromatus you tried to handle. My 5cm B. boehmei exhibits similar beahviour. She will eventually move, but only a little at a time, and then adopts the crouched down posture.

Unintentional handling:

P.fasciata
