same with me, they think I am crazy :starwars: and that is why I want to handle my t's :spider: to show them that this is not as bad as they have tought :drunk: . If you want a good handling tarantula get yourself a curly or a golden knee or even a brazilian black.

so did you pluck up the courage yet? to handle it! thank god my hubby supporting me or it wouldnt have been possible for me

I have bought myself a book "the tarantula keeper's guide"and after reading it it was much easyer to get to the piont of picking it up. also read a website caled "mike's tarantulas

IM A FIRM BELIEVER THAT YOU SHOULD NOT HANDLE YOUR SPIDERS....

1) Your spider hates it and it stresses it out.
2) You can hurt your spider or even kill it.
3) They not cuddly pets "get a dog!!!"
4) They bite or kick hairs leaving your spider with an ugly bald spot.
5) IF you must hold it learn how to do it properly.
6) Its a noob thing.... when i 1st got into the hobby all i wanted to do is hold them and i did but after time you prefer to let them be in there homes keeping them happy and safe.

I have to disagree with you ,the people on this forum are very helpful ,they help out where ever they can ,if your questions do not get answered be patient as people are not 24/7 on the forum ,just give it sometime
