Hey Tin,

Dude, I custom built my curly a hide and all it did was dig up all the peet around it! I would leave it as is for now.
Also, take anything dead out. T's don't eat dead food. Also, if you wanna see it more maybe have a look at night when it's dark.

Hope this helps a bit!

Thanks Thor,

The cricket was very much alive when I put it in, then I couldn't reach it to remove it. But last night Jimmy kindly pushed it to the edge of the enclosure and I was able to remove a little peat and then the cricket with forceps.

Unfortunately I can't watch him at night as he lives at my office. The solution seems to just get more spiders!

Yip I would suggest so, i got a Grammostola pulchripes, Chaco Golden Knee which is out all the time maybe you wanna look at one of those - also a good beginners T. I would recommend a larger one though as all slings and sub adults tend to hide a lot more.

Jimmy must be in premolt. He is still moving around but instead of eating the cricket I tried to feed him today, he kept chasing it out of his burrow and then webbed up all the entrances.

I'm excited for his molt!

It seems Jimmy moulted secretly in his burrow.... All I can see is a MUCH bigger spider through a new tunnel entrance. I am sad I missed it.

I know exactly how you feel Tinidril, all my T's molt when I am at work, sleeping or away for the weekend, and it is so frustating :(, as I would love to see the proccess and seeing other people's video's or pics as they captured their T's in the procces makes me kinda jealous of them.
