Hi guys

I just recently took delivery of 2 GBB slings, about 9 days ago. At this point I'm not sure if they're fine as I've tried to feed them twice now, and both times had to remove the food as it hasn't been eaten. They are still in their cups, humidity is high and they are kept in a room that gets and stays quite warm. They do move, sluggishly when I open the lids or touch them, pretty much just waving their legs around. I'm not sure if there is anything I'm missing, but my other slings all seem fine under the same conditions.

Is there enough ventilation in the lid?
GBB need a bit less moisture than other slings. Try increasing the ventilation and wait for the substrate to dry out a bit.
My sling is on bone dry substrate and webbed it up good. With an occasional few mist drops and then wait for it to dry again.

I'll give that a try, thanks. The enclosures have a lot of condensation on the sides and I havent added any additional moisture since I got them. Ill increase ventilation and report back.

I agree with Deon and also you must think of a hide for them. Seem a bit exposed in the cup.

Not to contradict, but I wouldn't be too bothered with a hide - mine has never used a hide - they usually web over the hide! You need to, however, put something in the tub (plastic leaf,stick,branch,etc) so that the little fellow can start webbing - it helps a lot if they have something to stick the web to!

And yes, keep it dry, with little droplets of water once week or so (net vir die wis en die onwis). You can try to put in a water bowl at a later stage, but chances are it will just web over it!
