Both my GBB slings died this morning. Got home last night and both were flat on their bellies, legs vertically upwards, not responding to touch or anything. Moved them to icu but they were gone this morning.

Maybe 1st instar slings are not a good idea for a noob?

That is not a first instr that is a sling (baby spider)

How does your deli cups look now? did you give them chance to dry out?
Were your spiders heated?

Every one has lost a spider in their hobbies life span, does not matter if you have been doing it for 1 month or 10 years it happens to all of us.

I got these from Milty and his are just moulting to 2nd instar now, same sac. Substrate was dry, was dribbling water down the side of the cup twice weekly. Temps up to 25 degrees during the day, down to about 18 at night. Not sure where I went wrong?

The picture is a bit blurry, so can't see so well, but it looks like the sling has its colors already.
First instr will still be "white" and not proper spiders yet, that only happens after 2nd instr.

They looked like dark versions of the first pic. No hair or colouring yet. I'm quite sad about it, because they were my youngest and I was looking forward to them obtaining their colouring.

Then you needed to keep them a bit more moist until they molted out.

If you keep them to moist or to dry they die.
You can keep them moist (damp to touch) will they are slings, until a point then you start drying out their peat as they get larger in size.
