My Brachypelma boehmei does this occasionally.... I think it gets to hot in the enclosure and treis to escape for some cooler air.... But have no problem with him/her... Stil attacking crickets double its size.

Muffin the N. Tripepii also likes to hang on the slit vents some days. Here, she's just striking a pose.
