Chilobrachys huahini - Very aggressive

In all the years I've managed to escape this one thing till this morning.
I had to package a MM C. huahini which was not very happy being removed from his cage. He jumped of the table onto the floor where I stopped him with my foot, and ran up my leg. I managed to contain him by my knee and that is where he tagged me on the knee.
At first I could feel my skin had been punctured but I first had to secure the male. The bite mark drew blood and fang marks was clearly visible. By the time the parcel was done I was in agony. It's like a burning hot iron being stuck into you.
An hour later I decide to get medical attention, by this time it had swollen quite a bit. Some injections and pills later with a local anesthetic gel, which didn't help at all.
This is now 5 hours later and the the pain is still the same.

12 hours after the bite the pain was constant and ten times worse than a wasp sting.
Some involuntary twitching and spasm did occur.
24 hours later the pain is just about gone, the area around the wound is still very tender and no pressure can be tolerated. Just a big bruise is visible.
Just headaches bugging me now.

Luckily that hasn't happened to me...yet...

I was wondering: can't their fangs break off when they bite you?

I read somewhere that piping hot water (As hot as you can withstand) helps your body to break down the proteins of a T's venom. Is this true? If so, why didn't you use it Hendrijs?
