Swifty you quite correct and the hot water remedy had totally slipped my mind. I must say that was the last thing on my mind and hopefully I will never have to use this again.

 Shame man, that's awful.

Thanks for sharing anyway! It gives us all a heads up not to become too placid with these.

I do my rehousing and such of large and fast spiders out on the lawn. They stop running pretty quickly there, so I don't need to worry about them disappearing into some hidey hole, and neither about them falling off something.

How are you feeling today?
Hope you feel better :)

Hendrijs WROTE:

At first I could feel my skin had been punctured but I first had to secure the male. The bite mark drew blood and fang marks was clearly visible. By the time the parcel was done I was in agony.

What a Guy ;) the Spider comes first.
Really makes on think, males are usually calm and never show signs of aggression nor do they want to bite.

How long are the Males Fangs, did it inject with both fangs?

Apart from the headaches did you have any joint pains, stiffness?

@ cascade - No joint pains or stiffness yet.
Both fangs, however one fang made a much bigger puncture hole.
I was a bit tired (like jet-lag) today but that could also be from the medication.
