Stef, I think what huzi is trying to say, is that the market is already so flooded with B.albopilosum slings, that you'll have difficulty in selling (or even giving away) these slings, especially since you can expect around 300 slings to pop out of that sac.

If anybody breeds any spider to experience the thrill, it is awesome and probably something he will never forget, no matter the species. The trend in some countries is to use the second instar slings as feeders for larger spiders. They breed "common" spiders by the truckload and feed the slings to whatever is hungry. That is a debate in itself.

:starwars: No argument there Scarab, it's definitely something a serious hobbyist should experience, just pointing out the obvious flood of curly's in the market. Supply/demand, that sort of crap. If Stef feels he can feed slings to other T's, then great , but if he has a moral objection to it or he can't secure 300 buyers, what is his alternative?

Then you get my P.regalis, dry enclosure, temps dropped to 24 deg C, (for the snakes to cool off), one roach a week and she goes and make an eggsac. Same room and conditions and I can not get my P.auratus to drop. Amazing little buggers aren't they?

And if people cannot sell +- 300 slings what's the next thing they do ?? They go straight to the bush
