Yip, only logic that females do the egg lying. According to me the only male in the animal world that does the baby sitting and caring is a sea horse. But the female still produces the babies or eggs.

So if it's a male, perhaps she's a cross dresser. LOL

I would definitely suggest taking the sack away from the mother, there is no point in letting the mom starve herself for nothing. she needs to move on...

Spider wont starve! Why not let the spider care for the sack full term?

Any way, you have to not feed a spider for a long time before it starves it self.
The female will eat the sack or discard it after a couple of weeks and she will be fine after that.

You can even feed her will she has the sack with her.
