From what I have seen with my communal it that they live together in the same burrows but when it comes to molting each one excavates their own little place capped off from the rest and when they are done molting they go back to living together in one burrow.

Communals are so cool :thumbsup:

So, just an update on my little communal experiment:

1. All the fish died eventually - which just goes to show that I'm in the right hobby (as opposed to buying a lot of expensive fish and have them die on me a few days later). Hooray Tarantulas!

2. Dug up the whole communal this weekend .... Happy to report.... 12 out of 12 are still alive.

3. Decided I'm going to copy huzi (sorry bud), and put in a smaller water feature later whistle2

Spunky did you do water changes and have a filter and things like that for the fish?

Very nice photos, love the the first photo with the lighter and darker spider almost touching each other!

We did water changes, filters, food, TLC, the works!

It just wasn't meant to be I guess! Will have to seek more "hardier" fish!
