That looks to be a Lasiodorides polycuspulatus. I have one in my collection. Will update pics later on. Really gorgeous spider.

Thanks Darkest Days,I paid R700,it's just over 10cm.

? I just took a guess, but the carapace seemed far too round at first glance to guess L.Polycuspulatus, I am also not very familiar with this species so it figures I guessed wrong :)

looks the same?


They look very similar in build. The lighting conditions and different cameras can affect the colour in the picture a lot.

I have been looking through photos and still I'm left guessing, the next best thing is to hope it is a female and could maybe work out what it is from its spermacia.

Have you asked the Magnificent Duke, Stan or even tarantulaguy.
