One of my friends was approached by a 'breeder' in Witbank and want to sell him some T's. One of the T's is a Chevrigintis Avergantis :S. I can't even find something like that on Google :ohmy:

Could he have been trying to spell something else or is this 'breeder' a hoax? :huh:

There has been bad reports of a guy in that city, I would not be surprised if it's from him/her/it.

Chevrigintis Avergantis?

Sounds like a made up scientific name for "Average Chevron" to me. I don't think it exists, I can't find either word listed in any tarantula lists, google, wikipedia etc.

I have 5 of them. Cost me quite a bit as well, but its worth it.
Its a new species that was described a month or so ago. They are found in Northern Congo.
The spider has a pale brown coloured abdomen and red femurs. Also has a slight protuberance on its carapace, not unlike C.brachycephalus. Very pretty.
