I agree.
My post wasn't sarcastic though. Thats the picture the guy i bought the spiders from sent me. Mine are all still slings, so they don't have colour yet.

The other leg was regenerated, so the colour only shows after 2 moults.

I thought as much.

Another cool thing about this specific tarantula is that females can produce offspring without being mated!! :woohoo:
How much are you going to sell slings for once the females are mature and unmated?

Bliksem. I didn't know that.
In that case, maybe I wasn't ripped off. I could probably make my money back with the first eggcase?!

They found another one by chance but further to the South of Congo. It resembles Chevrigintis avergantis, but amazingly has a transparent carapace and abdomen. Congolese scientists believe this to be an evolutionary adaptation by the spider, believed to combat poaching by guys from Witbank. These scientists believe this transparency is now a "new trend" amongst Baboon spiders from Central Africa. They say this trend has now spilled into Zimbabwe, Malawi, Tanzania and Nigeria, and this is why they just can't find any more spiders to smuggle...
