I have a 12cm one not sure if its male or female but molted this week so gonna have a look.
Mine is almost never aggressive and has been held by myself, my wife and our 5 year old daughter even letting it crawl on her face!
The only time i ever saw aggression out of it was when i added some sparangium moss(excuse the spelling). it attacked it and bit the stuff like 10 times then ended its burrowing strike(hadnt burrowed in 2 months since i rehoused it) to cover all the moss(obviously hated it) but i was glad that she had started burrowing and then settled into her tank so nicely.
My N.Chromatus is a bit of a Jackel and Hyde case :chainsaw: . It is very skittish but not aggressive but this was not the case before the last molt. By the looks of it every time it molts its attitude changes too.
