After reading this I am glad i didn't make the almost 600km trip (one way). Really wanted to but decided against it on Friday afternoon. Please let us know if and when this Pretoria plan will happen. wont miss that one.

If the plan is to have a T expo (in Pretoria, there are good venues available) then I suggest that it has a show as well, so that we can all see the different types of T that are around, even if not available. If one could walk around and have a look at 100 or 200 adults of different species it would be tremendous. Also possibly have a few talks on care, distribution, habitat, etc - there are a number of experts around - could do a lot to improve the hobby in the eyes of the authorities and the general public. Any comments?

Great idea, but it's going to take some good planning to make it successfull.

The expo was okay, but it wasn't the best. I was there at 9:20 in the morning and left at 14:30 with 400 super mealworms and two containers with roaches. The day was a good day talking and chatting and move around from one spot to another. If anybody didn't saw me, I was that skinny guy in black with a big camera. Later after the expo a few of T lovers ended up visiting together and share some info and sexing tarantulas.

I spoke to Scarab and he said we must look at the end of the year. I have a hall ready for us and the best is, it is for free. We will be asking a small fee +- R200 - R500 per stand to cover stuff like ads and sundries. please if you guys.....and gals have any input please pm me, i will start planning this event asap.
