I doubt it sorry, if you have done some research then you would've noticed A LOT of tarantula cages with those same vents, from Pokies to Curlies... big and small.

I have made a Cricket container with aluminum screen and I'm pretty sure that no T will get past it, If its secured properly.

Before anyone comes to flame me for not following the T keepers guide as gospel (note I have not read it, waiting for my copy), I do understand that there could have been cases where T's mashed aluminum screen vents and thus it has been advised not to use it, there are also accounts of it working perfectly? I believe that if its secured properly a T wouldn't be able to snap the stands, I believe if the mesh is not secured and some of the strands can move that a T could create a opening. this will hold true of stainless mesh as well.. That is my opinion at least

Personally I don't have too much experience with spiders, but I do have quite an extensive experience working with many different materials from Alu to Stainless, Perspex to glass, wood to cast resins and rubber as well as applications in many different situations.

Yea, it might be fine, but my thinking is this.. would I really risk my T's on that? Alu is soft. especially thin strands like that. When we push on them with our fingers we are pushing on 15 odd strands at a time and it seems strong, but a T can easily manipulate one strand at a time. If you where to push on one strand only you would easily snap it.

Stainless steel is a different thing altogether, its much stronger. Even with a single strand you would have a hard time breaking that with your hands.
If you have a different experience then who is to say that its not accurate..
Do what you feel is correct.

I have seen with my own eyes a female L. parahybana ripping aluminum airvents like it was a piece of webbing. So since then the only thing I use my aluminum mesh for is grading black powder for burst and lift charge. Capemesh will make airvents for all but we will need to place one huge order. But for the time being I could make airvents with molding if you would like, all you need to do is add silicone and stick it to the enclosure and leave it to dry.
