Ruan I'm not going to get into a debate with you about this, I said what I had to say and let's move on.

Cameron it probably is a bit of a cyclic thing but also with the amount of forums available and the amount of info they have, it's bound to get quieter with time. That and the economic crisis doesn't help either..... makes for a quiet 'market' which if you listen to Ruan, is what the majority of people use the forum for. If there's no money going around, our forum 'marketplace' will suffer right......

Very true. I've seen forums like www.scorpion-forum.com and Arachnoboards go from having intense activity to slightly better than what we have now in the span of six months (okay, Arachnoboards doesn't really count but the amount of activity compared to the past has dropped down a lot).

Some forums change to suit what members want, but if we did that we'd just have TarantulaCafe with Classifieds added

I long time ago I started a "missing legends" thread. But no one really answered. Now I know the history. Thank you all for giving me the history.

As a fairly new member and keeper its hard to keep the chatter up as I can only help to a certain point. I learned a lot from this forum.

I think all it needs are a few old hand back. I personally have always liked Ruan's comments. As I love that pinch of sarcasm.

I think its good for people to butt heads and disagree from time to time. It makes for interesting reading and you get to know the members more from it.

So old hands will fight. New members will be shy. All we need is not to get MAD.

Debate, argue,be sarcastic if you must/like. But for a new young member that thinks his T is dying on its back, help him nicely.

Every one has something to contribute to the hobby.

And discussion is what will cause more members to post, and join in

As a middle of the road keeper(not new. Not a legend). I truly hope my post helps out

Shaun I'm glad it was of some help, sorry I'm not on here enough at thios point in my life that I missed your post. I agree with what you said but for one little thing.... I really don't agree with the sarcasm bit cause let's face it, not everyone gets it and you cant get a sense for how anyone really means anything from reading typed words!
So yes, argue, butt heads, debate by all means, just do it civily! :thumbsup:
