I bought my little Celestron handheld digital microscope from Adventures for AfriCa in Cresta mall for R900. The Spiderclub of Southern Africa use to sell those microscopes for just over R700, but they sold so quickly. I don't know if they still got some more.

@Haasdas. I've seen some digital microscopes this weekend at Adventures for Africa(Cresta) there you don't need a laptop to use the microscope. I've got no idea how much It costs but it is nice and reasonably small.

I have been using CC online for years now and never had a problem.

Agree'ed, I buy almost 99% of my stuff on the net with a credit card.. you just need to make sure your not a complete idiot and type your details in just anywhere.. which of course is the biggest problem, hence why it might not be a good idea for some people.

I've had a few clients in the past who have asked me and I have told them straight out.. DONT DO IT.. Its bad... and only because I know they are stupid.

Anyway, for the Celestron, Check out Opticsonline ( www.opticsonline.co.za/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=176_179 ) Last I was speaking to Kobie I believe he said he was trying to get the agency in SA secured.. not sure if he did, but his prices are still cheaper than most mentioned here for the handheld
