Sorry

Ive tried a P. fasciata communal, but unfortunately it failed. Started with 5 and after one got eaten I split them up. They were very well fed (always food in their enclosure) and I think the enclosure size was fine. The only thing I did wrong was that there wasn't enough hides in the enclosure.

Didn't want to go forward with the experiment with a cannibal running around in there. Will try again in the future.
So we learn.

For Pokies I believe the less hiding places a communal has the better. Thus a crammed environment. If you want a hiding place for them, maybe at the most one for every five T's in your communal should be fine. This will exclude territorial behaviour, as ideally they will need to constantly touch and interact with each other.

There is also a difference between truly communal species and those that simply tolerate each other. For the latter it might be more beneficial to create little hiding spaces for each individual.

My P. fasciata communals show little webbing behaviour, compared to the ones I'm keeping single. They are also less prone to hide away when disturbed, which makes them much easier to observe and handle. It's especially funny to watch them squabble over prey items, sometimes two or three feeding from the same one for a while. Then you get the hijacker that grabs all it can carry from its siblings, than making a bee-line for safety with three or four frustrated little ones hot on its "heels".
