What species is this? was created by Visser
Not sure if this is the correct forum for this, but I took a picture of a spider that spent a few days in our bathroom when we were in Hoedspruit. I'm no expert, and originally I thought it was a rain spider. After showing the pic to some friends, it was suggested it might be a baboon spider. The spider had a leg span of about 10 cm.

What do you guys think?

I'm not a 100% sure, no. It wasn't that big though. I remember thinking it must be a juvenile. It looked like it had the makings of a much bigger spider. Does that make sense? With it's legs by it's side, it was a little bigger than a R5 coin.

Speaking of showers... after the spider was discovered, my wife insisted I stand guard every time she went for a shower.

How big are your R5 coins???
I'll take a guess at Harpactirella then. Probably mature already.
