Ok so picking up the pieces from this post www.tarantulas.co.za/forum/show-and-tell...oreal-huge-enclosure i have decided to do the following.

This will be a collaborated project between Dave and myself.
  1. Exo-Terra Enclosure 90 x 45 x 90 cm (ITS MASSIVE) Pic included
  2. 25 x Avicularia avicularia (Pinktoe)
  3. 10 x Hysterocrates gigas (Cameroon Red Baboon)
  4. 1 x Exo-Terra Rainfall Water System
  5. 1 x Waterfall
  6. 1 x Big Pond with fish (1/4 of the enclosure) with pump linked to waterfall
  7. Large live plants
This will be a work in progress and i will keep updating this thread with pictures :)
Below is my new enclosure and how it will look hopefully not exactly the same but similar.

So H. gigas are communal?

This will be sick if it works! Cant wait for pictures and updates!

Impressive! Looks like a massive T Playground!
I cant imagine trying to check if the crickets are eaten or not in that jungle enclosure tho! ;)
- check out a plant called a "hoya" not the flowers (i cut mine away cos they get sticky), but the tendrils and leaves
(grows really well in shady hi-moist areas)
i have nice cuttings (with roots) if you want (am in bedfordview, joeys) just let me know and we can make a plan.

nonetheless, am really interested to see the project develop!!!
enjoy

I think it will be a mixture of real and fake plants. The biggest trick is to get the water flowing properly. But i will video and document all the stages. I will make it a real jungle :)

Isn't that a bit small for 45 plus tarantulas? This is something I've always wanted to do but on a larger, room scale. This will look great when finished.
