Are there not subtle variation in colour and size in all of the animal and plant kingdom? Are all Ts of the same species 100% identical in size, colour, patterns, etc.?
I am asking because I don't have 10 of the same species from the same egg sac in the same environment to measure and compare. If there are obvious difference (like an extra band etc.) then yes, it could be a different species. But going on what I observe in the rest of the world. Not all humans, plants, dogs, cats, etc. are all the same size and colour as the rest their fellow species.

But then again, I recently watched a TEDtalks on the topic of genetic variation between humans. Olympic athletes for example share a specific gene that not everyone has. So on a genetic level they are "better" than the rest for what they do, and it goes beyond the visible differences.

We should do some DNA testing to confirm. Mapping the genome is now not that expensive any more and takes a few hours to complete (Think custom medicine), so let's all club in and get the Ts mapped.
We can create a kickstarter and everyone can share the cost and get the benefits of knowing the FACTS.
