I also wanted to know, are those speakers below the spiders enclosures plugged in working?
If they are, holly shit. Those spiders must be scared to death. If they are working, i would seriously
considers relocating them. They mite be useful for a mature male to practice his tapping but for
a sling up to adult, that spider will be stressed out. sad

Thanks for the compliments. I agree with your comment on the Hybrid, but i also do believe that there is an issue regarding hybrids. Until i know for sure what species he is, he will stay my little hybrid or unknown. The fact that the spider might be a hybrid does not mean one should not care or discriminate against them. I care for him better that any of my others as he is my favorite. I do not intend to breed any spiders at this stage and lucky for me they are all very young still. If i one day decide to breed my spiders i will make sure to follow the correct steps and keep the gene pool as clean as possible.

With regards to the speakers. They are for my car and i just packed them there. they are not connected to anything and i agree that it would be very cruel to expose ones pets to such high volumes/ frequencies of sound. I was waiting for someone to comment on the speakers lol.

Feeding time this weekend and i was able to snap 2 pictures of my Poecilotheria regalis





Then i decided to make the water bowls look a bit better. I used some smashed bark pieces and substrate and glued everything to the water dishes.

















There is however a huge design flaw. The substrate touches the water and that drains the whole bow out. the water is moved from the bowl to the actual terrarium substrate. so will need to clean up the parts around the lip of the dish.

So i have decided to test something with 2 of my T's, It is as screen lid held in place by 3 elastic bands. Please let me know what you guys think? obviously this will only be for younger T's as a temp enclosure till the are big enough for the Bigger enclosures. i really hope it works well as its easy to build and i like the look of it.

This enclosure might be a bit big for him. But i will monitor to make sure he is eating and not showing any signs of stress.









These type of lids also make misting so much easier.



Please let me know what you guys think. I am new to this and will make mistakes. I am not to worried about them chewing through the screen as it is quite tough.

It could work, depending on how often you mist it...

I personally would not use that as it gives way to much ventilation and when in pre-molt and you are occupied for a day or 2 and cant mist it you might get some molting problems.

Species you can keep like that would be your arid species such as Grammostola, Aphnopelma and maybe even Chromatopelma.

Hmm, i see your point, lets say i use a humidifier for days that i know i will be to busy to mist. would it work better then?
