Nobody knows for sure how it's contracted but as you can see there are a number of theories. There are doubts about it being genetically contracted as it's more of a syndrome than a disease ( Discussed with P Gildenhuys, Author of South African Baboon Spiders ) at this point.
But yes, it's really not cool and it's actually kinda painful watching the poor T go through it. It would be great if a true cause and cure could be found for this nasty condition.
