Roach gel is roach (and ant) poison in the form of white gel lotion, packed in plastic syringes, and available at your usual supermarket outlets, e.g. Pick'n Pay (pesticide section). Works like a bomb. The insects ingest the gel and just die

If you only choosing 1 type of roach then B.lateralis is by far the best all rounder.
They will climb the decor making them perfect for all arboreals.
Dubia's burrow which is a real pain and are very slow breeders compared to the lat's

All roaches smell if not kept clean.

I have have both species and i prefer the Dubias, they are larger so you require less with big Ts and once breeding they never stop!

I like hissers the most, I have a tiny hisser colony but they breed like rabbits and all my T's love the young roaches. That being said the Dubias are great too, they are just sooo slow at growing and breeding. Lobsters are an interesting species too... a bit on the small side but they breed really well.

The early bird gets the worm... but the early worm gets eaten by a bird.
