Salt + Water = WIN!

Just don't spray it, pour it on the affected areas, which are hopefully away from your T. It also kills plants though, so if you have any live plants; remove them.

this is also a difficult one for me???
i kept my Ts dry with a water bowl for a while but they seem much keener an the more damp substrate, they looking much happier, even with the mold and mites...???

also my p. cambridgei used her bowl as a target for food boules's and the rest started picking up on that.

please can you post a pick of one of your dry setups i want to try it again see if i can get it right.

I also keep my enclosures bone dry with a water bowl and have not had any problems with molting either. Humidity is 60-70%
@ Mark - here is a picture of my T in her bone dry enclosure with a water bowl and she is very happy

I also keep my enclosures dry and did not have trouble with any T moulting - they do not climb the sides of the enclosures anymore. Mites are very bad for the T's, so I do not want them near my babies. I just have a water bowl in each enclosure. @ Mammon & Cerat: Interesting question; would humidifying the room itself and not the enclosures be a better idea for those who are a bit uncertain?

I'm quite lucky that the room i keep my T's in has an air purifier in it that keeps the moisture in the room up at about 50-60% most of the time so adding a water bowl to my enclosures lifts the humidity average to around 60-70%, so I can also keep my substrate as dry as possible.

Saw a post not too long ago where someone uses a tropical fish tank thermostat heater in a tank of water to keep humidity high in the room, I think this is a great way to maintain humidity and keep your substrate dry and free of mould and mites.

@Evab - Humidifying the room is in my opinion a better option but its much easier just providing a larger water dish and covering up some of the vents.

If you must humidify the room then maybe purchase one of those electronic ones that dont emit heat so that you can use during winter and summer thereby keeping the seasons.
Saw them at Makro a while back for R280 i think.
