I agree with Marula - substrate very dry - what kind of heater have you got? What substrate are you using?

sorry for u'r loss,i also got 3 slings growing up now a b.smthi,grammostola pulchripes and a nhandu chromatus put them close to my 2 terraruims heating pads and also using a 9 fin oil heater 2 heat up the room at a constant temp 1 must say that i keep a close eye on the substrate coz the heater tends to dry the substrate so withmy slings in their small containers i try to keep the substrate of the 1 part of cup damp and must say the slings are in supreme condition 2 of the 3 molted the past week i'm very fortunate to have things going my way amen

I personally find that misting doesnt make the substrate wet enough. once a week I literally squirt water in the side of the enclosure that it makes the substrate wet from the bottom in a corner or just one side. While I have heat the enclosure mists up nicely providing moisture on the sides. In summer I will occassionally mist but still squirt water in..

I also have a 9fin oil heater that stands about 1 feet away from all the T's !! Ive started to squirt water on one side and then sprayed on the side aswell. Things looks better now. Just a pity i have started doing that so late.

@greenmagic. I use normal Peat moss and some bark for covering.

OK guys Its not that cold that you got to heat the roomall day every day we only had some very cold days Its allreadt getting warmer and its taken longer to get darker Ok that usless info
..Only if it hits minus -6 or your house is colder in side than what it is out side the hole day then heat the room up ..For example MY flat is colder inside than what it is out side !Im sure your guys Houses are much more warmer than mine .. Last night I had my heater on in the Ts room due to the cold tonight its not on I also have not had it on since last week friday .

Next thing get rid of the oil fan heaters they dry the air out at supper speed thats why the substrate gets so dry so fast :ohmy: ...
Get your self those heating pads they sell at the pet store the tin foil ones ..

I dont need to mist or water my Ts enclosure with them the heating pads they make there own mousture in the containers ..
Usely the side thats against the heating pads gets dry and the side that not agianst the heater stays wet perfect for your Ts ..

ANd you will also save on power those heater chow power well any heater chows power depends how much money you have to waste and the size of the room you got to heat ..
Gas heater also dry the air and burn the oxygen up and it makes you sicker alot faster same with the oil heaters ..

Panel heater are about the best way to go to heat your room up they only warms the air in the room it is it uses the The scientific method of hot air rises so it actaully makes circulation of air in the room it is in ,Its also an abient temp not burn the air particale out the air temperture ..

i am with marula on this one..the substrate looks very dry.what kind of substrate is it? i keep most of my Ts in a huge hot box that i have a thermostat in set to 25. because of this temp. i check my moisture at least twice a week. the T doesnt look overly skinny...maybe it just was not ment to be. sorry for your loss
