Great Idea Karin. I like it.
I only lost 1 sling so far (touch wood), but will also bury them in a flower pot in the future, a nice remembrance I think. :)

in peat nice and close to wild crickets and surrounded by friendly isopods... sounds more like retirement :P

I lost my T not to long ago actually. It was shortly after he molted, 2 days about and then he was just gone. I could not find him anywhere in the tank he was in. He was about 3cm big after his moult. He was my first T so was special to me since i watched him grow up :(

I suggest it's frozen for one reason only. To make VERY sure it's dead. After that, hang it on your wall if you must, but a frozen spider is dead, dead, dead...
