Indeed a new thread might just be correct, but I can not resist adding my 2c.

I contract at a cellphone network provider and I asked why so many have iPhones. They said it is the worst network performing phone, so it gives them a good idea to know where they need to improve the network. :woohoo:

Before any kill me, it was said as a bit of a joke, but they do admit there is some truth to it. Most of them got it the iPhones, because they get it for free and it is the 'in' phone. However I have seen lots of them dropping their iPhones for the S2 and S3 and Note phones when their upgrade cycle comes around. Makes you think....

Oh and about Apple, I still find it amusing that Apple buy their processor chips from Samsung. Hypocrites!

And did you know that there are things Android does that Apple do not, for example, Apple is so restricted in their arrogance that they do not allow that you can make the tablet or phone in a wi-fi hotspot. I have my tablet in a wifi hotspot and can surf the internet from my pc or phone without breaking company policies and what not.

So I guess I vote Android if you did not figure it out yet :P

The issue is not with what chips. It has to do with patent and trademark infringements. Apple actually pays Samsung for those chips. FYI: Microsoft makes more money (from the patents) on Android than Google does.

I agree. The Wifi hotspot thing on the iPad is quite annoying. But you do get it on the iPhone out the box. Called personal hotspot and works pretty darn good.

As with anything in life, there are pros and cons for each. We can point out battery life, screen size, expansion slots, quality of displays, resolution, call quality, etc. Fact remains that each phone offers to their users what they require, otherwise they will switch. I know many people that switched from Android to iPhones and vice versa. In my opinion the Galaxy Note is the worst phone. Works great as a tablet, but you look silly with that huge screen plastered against your face :D

Voting for Android vs. Apple is one thing, but calling people half-brained is another. I don't have an issue with the death grip as the iPhone is ridiculously secure compared to Android because of it. To me, security is pretty important. Yes, I hate iTunes a LOT, but it is at least better than OVI Suite :D These days you can do everything on the iPhone / iPad without iTunes.

Oh, I have to add. My boss have 2 iPads from 2 different generations. Since I needed internet for some of our own work and I do not have access as a contractor to the internet, I was given a Samsung Galaxy Tablet contract. Well he has seen the tablet and has seen how it works and regrets he have an iPad. Thank goodness he is not a hardcore Apple junky, but it does make my point, that people who have experience with Apple sometimes have to admit there are better products than Apple.

Apple is a great product and good quality, so if it works for you, so be it. But there are similar or better products than Apple. And if a Apple junky pulls his head out of his own arse he might see the light  Just kidding, I agree with ZynergyZA, if it works for you, why not. At least there is a battle and not a monopoly and in the end the consumer scores, because the product improves because of this battle. Would be good if the battle is not in court, but by providing the best product and service at the best price.

I agree, but it is not like that anymore. The fact that I can't just copy MP3s or movies onto it is really annoying. But I stream the movies on the iPad anyway without having to copy it. Music I use my iPhone. But iTunes does suck.

Yeah. hence the "Hate my guts? -Kiss my Opisthosoma". I take it as a joke. No worries. My security in my level of intelligence is certainly not based on my choice of phone :P

But anyway. I am glad when people are happy with their choices. My mom loves her Lumia 710. And I think especially for the money, it is brilliant. Windows 7.5 doesn't have the multi tasking that Android and iOS offers, but it is less prone to slow downs because of it.

I have always been jealous of how customizable Android is with regards to wallpapers, sounds, locking options, ringtones etc. But you learn to work around those things and enjoy what you have. Any non-Android / Windows / iOS phone user will always win the battery life discussion. We live with it. Re-charge every single day. Simple.
