I get the feeling that some members are holding out on MF's and MM's to.........monopolize.... or whatever you want to call it. I can understand they do it to restrict some of the "fly by night" hobbyists, or to promote responsible breeding. But letting a MM go to waste in the process seems stupid ?

I understand that not everyone is here to screw people over.
Unfortunately, if I have a MM and the owner of the female (Unless it is one of the people that I trust) is not willing to bring the female to my place or buy the male from me, I will not send my male out.
Why let someone take my male and make a killing off of him without giving anything back to me, when I can keep him at my place and get the same result?
Just for interest sake, its not just newbies that screw people over. In actual fact more often than not, it ends up being the old dogs that are to blame.
Quite sad what some people get up to. :(

@ Ceratogyrus - I actually agree with you - on all points.

That's the whole crux I guess.... finding out who WILL screw you over and who MIGHT NOT screw you over ;)

I feel that making friends first is the best option, thus building trust.

If you have a Mature male it's going to die. Point, no discussion. If he has the luck of mating before he kicks it "yeah" :) lucky bloke.
We are not breeding dogs for crying out loud ;) Breeding tarantulas are a gamble on so many levels. Swallow your pride or make sure the person who lent you the male is around when you are going to mate the male with the female, even if you need a sleeping bag ;) just remember to bring your own food :)

Damn if I die one day please make sure I had some viagra the day before I died. I would like to die with a grin.

I also feel the same way, first get to know the guy, build a re pore with the person, and then you go from there, some time it still goes wrongs but you at least you tried.
