Thanks for your care and support. :P

I have one more question of Avic. versicolor. please see the details as below,

My best friend have 10 larval spiders of Avicularia versicolor (2L~3L). Looks or blue. But two sudden death. Why? I don't know. Extraordinary! I will be :chainsaw: :chainsaw: :chainsaw:
we have good temperature (27℃ ), good humidity (80%) and rearing environment use pudding box, coconut soil, a small shrub bark.
We consulted some experienced peoples in China. They do not know too and tell me "may be thie is natural, as yo know bad DNA or any others I don't know, Mortality is about 20%".

so, who can give me a hand about this case. Mortality is about 20% of laeval, really?

Apparently ventilation is the key. The more the better. Mine died after 24 hours in my care. So maybe I'm not the best person to be giving advice here.

SADS - Sudden Avic Death Syndrome

I know what you mean. I bought and Avic Avic in perfect health, died 3 days later for no apparent reason.
All requirements were met 100%.

Versicolor fine in same environment. They just die apparently and can't figure out why.

thank you! Your proposal reminds me of my friend's rearing environment. He kept in air-conditioned room. Maybe this is the key.

Air conditioning a room would be overkill. Temps can be anywhere from 15 to 25 deg C.

I have an Avicularia avicularia that I have kept successfully for over a year, from 1cm and is now about 5cm, in a jar with a bit of peat at the bottom and a small branch with a stocking as a lid with no problems. Has a water dish and occasionally mist.

My Avicularia versicolor is kept according to Hendrijs's thread with no problems in almost a month.
Avics are no harder to keep than any other T, this is confrimed by many keepers on arachnoboards forum too.
Just ventilation, ventilation, ventilation!!! Seems the key along with misting for humidity.
Heres the Avic spp thread link:
