I haven't noticed them pupate.
If you find a cool, moist shaded area that is bricked you should find them living in colonies under the bricks/rocks. Just beware of centipedes and widows that may live amoungst them, I found a sack spider while searching too!
I haven't noticed them eating mites or springtales but they will finish off a large dubia bolus over night leaving only the exoskeleton for you to remove, they do a good job with mold too. I keep about 6 in each tank but fewer will do the trick too. Really amazing creatures. The house keepers of the hobby

I had those in my snakes tanks, they were really hard to get rid of because they are attracted to moisture. They need humidity to survive, and the easiest way to get rid of them is to keep everything bone dry and sterilized.

If they have laid eggs, these take about 2 weeks to hatch and you will need to clean out the tanks again in 2 weeks time to make sure they don't return.

I would not suggest Isopods because they thrive on moisture too, and would not survive long if you are keeping the tank dry.

This is a picture of what the mites looked like on my tanks, it got a bit out of hand because the types of snakes I have need high humidity and were in the shedding process so I had to wait for them to shed before I could take any action.

You get 2 kinds of mites, well I'm sure you get heaps of different mite species.

First kind is the blood sucking kind, this species is not good for your tarantula or any pet for that matter.
Then the second kind, basically feeds off of the dead crickets, and are no harm to your spiders.

The way to see if they are the bad kind, is to check your spider, check between the spiders joints on it underside and if you see white things attached to your spider you know you have an issue and you know how to sort it out!

Yes it would be gr8 if they can help with mold, I kinda struggle with that too. Isopods I'm going to make you work for me! mahahahah.
