Haha, I also live in a complex. They won't be in the walls but either underneath any bricks that can be lifted or a pile of unused bricks. But as I said, it's best to look in shady moist and cool areas like around drain pipes and gutters. They eat dead bio mass which includes dead leaves so try searching in the garden refuse area of your complex, that's where I found lots of mine.

Smaller Ts will munch them. Larger Ts won't bother. Give them a little something to hide under. They should only come out when they "smell" food.

Nope, they bare live young that are perfect miniatures of themselves. There is no larval stage.
