I'd go aviculara or grammastola genus... Avics are pretty little arboreals and a great entry into the faster moving pokies/ornamentals. As mentioned previously you must always consider old world vs new world. Brachypelma was also mentioned earlier. Always a good starter and of course very colourful. A step up I would say is a lasiodora perhaps? Urticating hairs and grows to an impressive size. There are many such as parahybaina, klugi, striatipes etc. Venom wise stay away from haplopelma, calceatum and basically most old worlds (sometimes there are exceptions) but I never handle any t's old or new world myself. Idealy... Try an e campeatratus. Extremely docile and colourful but out of my hundreds I have, a 15 year old g pulchripes mf is my favourite. Anyway hope that helps a little...
Peace!

You're very welcome:). Mine has jumped but only about 5-10 cm. again it all depends on whether you wanna handle your t's. changing the enclosure is easy with an avic though. If you would like to progress to pokies, again avics are ideal. Then maybe go for a smaller less aggro pokie:). Just a thought. I love both terrestrial and arboreal tarantulas and think they are unique in their own way. Best is purchasing a youngster and growing accustomed to each and every individual tarantula's behaviour.
