Whoops you are right. Sorry, was getting a bit carried away again. I respect you for doing the experiment. Your experiment has shown that it will take an hour and a half (roughly) for it to go into a dormant state. I support this idea as a means of breeding, not chucking a spider into the freezer for a few hours to kill it. Would rather use Co2 to euthanise the Tarantula. I also recall an episode of Nick Bakers Wierd Creatures were he found a Tarantula in a lake on top of a huge mountain, and we all know that Temperartures up there can be extremely cold. Your points are valid.
Concerning the curlies as Lab Rats: To be honest, I think they are probably the best Tarantula to use for tests. My opinion. Just because I believe that, doesn't mean they shouldnt be treated with respect. I'm sure that there won't be any harm to the T but as has been mentioned, testing will need to be done.
My point with the last breeding pair is if the female is highly agro then there is a massive risk of the male being eaten, thus destroying a species. If you were in those shoes, wouldnt you try something else to get a succesfull breeding? Anyways, you're right, I shouldn't get worked up, it is merely other peoples opinions.
