Nope they eat at 2n instar pendant on the "temperature" you run and always between 2nd and 3rd instar cannibalism Occurs hence i separate rate "reduce moralities" and increase survival percentage]. I've well documented it hence I separated them. Your friend friend Cerarogyrus also stated on the American forum of recording records his had 1st instar's eating each other on" breaching" out the egg sack with pieces of EWL still stuck in there " JAWS" to which spiders don't have by the way , only insects. A sack at that size already so there it is documented too :-) just for interest sake how many P metallica sack Have you bred out in the last year?? Mine will be around 6 now and one was infertile of the genera and species metallica.

There was a huge discussion on the other forum over the mechanical mom, Cerat made a few statements on there which were debated etc. Also he himself stated that his own P.metallica 1st instars had nymphs/ewl in their jaws(maybe he meant fangs), don't know what to think. So he himself there has substantiated the reports from entomology.

Yes he makes too many errors and cannot understand the "logic" hence the blocking of people that peruse and argument and " steer" it alway as soon as they see they contradict or see they are wrong, but then will not and cannot admit due to ego/pride. So why they ask the questions they already know. One is surprised of canabalism and the other admits tarantulas have "jaws" lo lol and eat at second instar then he further says they only eat at 3 rd instar?!!! Contradiction on the highest level!!!

I am just stating the facts here and not trying to cause conflict as this confuses "new people" and guests on the forum . Need to set the record straight.

Ray, regardless of how many egg sacks you have or don't have that has got nothing to do with a simple question. (Well done on the amount of eggs you got, that is great stuff for you so lets leave it out of future conversations)

Have you documented the spiders (pictures taken by you ) of them eating the roaches that you have pictured above?

Normally one only feeds the slings once they have molted into little spider-lings.
And Cannibalism in my opinion is different from hunting and catching a prey item running around the enclosure.

From 2nd instr they start cannibalizing each other it happens but the question put forward to you, have they started eating the feeding items you have given them yet? and yes we know they have started eating each other but i'm more interested in the roaches being eaten than the cannibalism of each other.

If you and Martin are going to be so accurate about the "Jaw" thing then please use the correct terminology that would be used to describe that area of the mouth and lips?? I'm sure it is much easier to say jaws than get all technical?
And the scary thing is people understand that without having to sound all smart.

And please refrain from mention other topics that have no grounds on this forum and please refrain from attacking Cerarogyrus as he is not able to defend or make an argument on the forum.
